One of the smallest of the museums and galleries in Northern Ireland, it was built during the 19th century. The Heritage Tower was once the prison home to famous Irish leaders, Wolfe Tone and De Valera. The Tower is located in the Fountain area of the city.
Today the Gaol exhibits artefacts and memorabilia dating from World War One to the present day. Viewing of this museum attraction in Derry City is by appointment only.
Antrim is the county town of County Antrim in Northern Ireland. Antrim is a small town not frequently visited by tourists, yet it is one of the more historic towns in Northern Ireland with many interesting sights and buildings of historic note.
