Naval architects and draughtsmen worked on ship designs in one of Harland & Wolff’s two Drawing Offices, where the plans for Olympic, Titanic and Britannic were prepared. Their high barrel ceilings and large windows made maximum use of natural light.
Whilst not in perfect condition, this historical site in Northern Ireland has survived to the present day. The Drawing Offices are preserved at Queen’s Island, now part of Titanic Quarter. There are a number of Titanic Tours which take visitors to the Harland & Wolff drawing office on a daily basis.
