Voted Best Sweet Shop in Europe, Aunt Sandra’s candy factory is where you can see candy making as it used to be. All candy is made by hand, some to traditional recipes over 100 years old.
Since Aunt Sandra opened her little shop on the Castlereagh Road in 1953, customers have been crunching on her famous recipe honeycomb, savouring her scrummy traditional fudge and rolling their eyes in delight over her chocolate macaroon cake.
A visit to the little shop and small factory at the back is like taking a trip back in time, where visitors can see the whole production process and watch as hand-made chocolates and fudges are created. Those with a sweet tooth can even sample some of the fresh fayre before it hits the shelves!
