Strangford (from Old Norse meaning “strong fjord”) is a pretty conservation village at the mouth of Strangford Lough in County Down, Northern Ireland.
On the other side of the lough is Portaferry and there is a ferry service between the two villages.
On their doorstep are some of the main places to see in Co Down: The Aquarium in Portaferry, Castleward National Trust property, St. Patrick’s Visitors Centre Downpatrick and more.
Antrim is the county town of County Antrim in Northern Ireland. Antrim is a small town not frequently visited by tourists, yet it is one of the more historic towns in Northern Ireland with many interesting sights and buildings of historic note.
